We practice choice-based alignment, skillful sequencing, props for every body, and presence over perfection. You are invited to experiment, modify, rest, and move in a way that supports your body.

The Lab

Located in Midtown Detroit, Detroit Yoga Lab isn’t a stage for perfect poses; it’s real-life yoga. A refuge for seekers, skeptics, survivors, artists, and feelers who are healing through lived experience, not performance.

Yoga, Pilates, breathwork, and somatics are rooted in philosophy, nervous-system support, and a quiet rebellion against performative wellness.

We teach yoga like your life depends on it, because sometimes it does. We meet people in the depths and help them rise, not by skipping the hard parts, but by honoring them. Breath by breath. Body by body. We don’t fit people into shapes; we meet bodies where they are.

As the first studio in Detroit to offer infrared heat, we provide both heated and unheated classes designed to help you slow down, feel more, and remember who you are.
